NEW GREAT FEATURES:
1 - Horizontal symmetrical drawing.
Look at the little butterfly in the main menu bar. One wing: symmetry disabled, 2 vertical wings: vertical symmetry enabled, 2 horizontal wings: horizontal symmetry enabled.
How to change the symmetry status: just tap once on the icon.
2 - Drawing lessons.
Four drawing lessons have been added for your training. To complete these lessons, you only need the 3 sizes of the pencil, and one dark color.
Step-by-step pictures are displayed in the small part of the screen. They can be conveniently moved with one finger and resized with two fingers. So that you can choose to see a small detail or the whole picture.
A drawing grid is also provided to guide your eyes in the sketching step. This grid will be auto-removed when you finish the sketching step and start hatching and shading.
3 - EXTRA DRAWING LESSONS can be purchased directly from your application.
A - 15 sketching and drawing lessons using exclusively the pencil for drawing and shading with different stroke sizes and directions.
B - Another full set of 15 step-by-step drawing lessons using exclusively tools provided by Drawing Box.
Highly recommended lessons for tone discrimination and shading exercises.
These techniques are the very basic step for those who want to learn how to paint and how to create advanced artpieces.
Actually some explanations in drawing lessons are written only in English and French. But the step-by-step pictures have no text, it's then easy to follow the lessons.
4 - Color wheel: you can now choose and create an unlimited number of colors with this really useful new feature.
The first window is the preview of your color.
In the second larger window you can adjust the Hue parameter (color changes if you move the target horizontally) and the Saturation (color purity will change when you move the target vertically).
In the third window: brightness will change with the cursor moving.
5 - Color picker: represented by an eye dropper in the color wheel window. Also extremely useful if you want to pick a same color for using in different parts of your painting. Just choose the eye dropper, then move your finger through you painting, and lift it when you find the correct color.
The eye dropper will only take colors on your painting foreground page, not from the background picture.

ReplyDeleteIn a future update, would you be able to include an option to change the orientation of the drawing when saving to the photo library or sending through email?
That way drawings made with the new horizontal symmetrical drawing option will show up the way they're supposed to (instead of vertically).

You'll find 2 good news:
1/ A video conversion function: users will be able to convert their painting replay directly into mp4 video, ready to be shared on internet.
2/ You can choose the orientation of the exported paintings: landscape or portrait. This feature will work with image (png) and video (mp4).

ReplyDeleteI love this app.it just keeps getting better. I have it as does my mum and I just gifted it to my niece.:))
About the new update: I cannot download the lessons even though my in-app settings are on and I am signed in to the app store. I press 'buy' but nothing happens. After I try this, the app becomes very unstable and crashes, especially if I try to access my gallery. I also find that the share button in the gallery is not working.I normally never have an issue with in app purchases.I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app but with no luck. Is there something I need to do differently or is this a bug ?

Thanks for your feedback. We have also detected this problem about in-app purchase feature.
